Not the worst thing to happen to anyone, but here's what went down:

I got finished checking out at the grocery store and realized I didn't have my wallet.

Ran out to check my car, and it's not there. Ran back in to tell them to hold my order. There's a line of understandably impatient people by now, and I didn't want to hold them up any longer.

We live 5 minutes away, so I call my wife to drive the Tacoma over and give me my wallet. The power is out, so she can't open the garage to get the truck out. I jump in the car to head back.

The low tire pressure light comes on as soon as I leave the parking lot. By the time I get to my street, the car is handling weird. Pull in my driveway, get out, and yes, completely flat front driver's side.

I go to manually open the garage and remember that the release cord broke of last week. Luckily I'm just tall enough to disengage the release on my tip toes.

I just hold the door up while my wife pulls the truck out. She's 7+ months pregnant, BTW.

I'm pretty stressed by now. Leaving my neighborhood, the guy in front of me is driving 12mph in a 25 zone - didn't help the stress level.

Everything else went smooth. When I get back, I just change the tire in the pouring rain, because why not?

I realize this is all the result of absent mindedness on my part.

That car has had 5 road hazard damage flats in 4 years. I think all 4 tires on it have pretty different mileage on them.

I used to get nails in my truck tires all the time. Once i started running LTs, no more flats

So what happened to the groceries? Asking for a friend.
