    Hi All,

I was winching some downed logs on my property and while getting carried away I winched while in Park but with the e-brake on. I know generally I should be using the foot pedal brake and be in neutral.

How easy is it to break the parking pawls on the transmission of a Tacoma. I’m slightly paranoid now.

    harder than you did evidently.

I've done the same thing, in P with E brake, no problems found. Not saying no problems, saying none known.

I do typically try to anchor to something behind me, so the truck could be in neutral if I wanted.
