So I've hit 50K on my stock set of Goodyear's. Honestly can't complain as I didn't expect this much out of them and I probably have another 5K left. That being said, after a Home Depot trip to get some remodeling supplies, picked up a screw in one of them. I plugged it, but figure I might as well use this to "justify" new tires.

It's my DD, but I do take it camping and tow a small pop up and 4x8 utility occasionally. I've narrowed it down to a few in order of likelihood.

    1. New TOYO ATIII's. Nice look, 65K on the SL rated. Seems solid
    2. FALKEN WildPeak's. Also, look great, but slight drop in overall longevity.
    3. Cooper AT3's. Seems like a can't lose tire, but honestly, I like the look of the TOYO's a bit more.

All that being said, yes I have been researching, looking into local shops, reading countless threads. What have I come up with, don't think I can really lose with any of these.

    Then do I go 265/75's or 265/70's!

Appreciate all opinions on these or any other suggestions. Thanks TW!

Can’t go wrong with any of those tires. Just comes to personal preference at this point.

For the tire size I always say go for the bigger tire size unless you care about 0.5 mpg drop.

The Toyo's are a great looking tire, but holy poop are they expensive. You get what you pay for, obviously, but the Falken's aren't that much of a downgrade, if any at all.

I have the Toyo ATIIs. Of course in a bigger tire 285/75/16. I like them. I have about 35K on them and I can probably run another 25-30K (E-rated).
I will be trying Falken on my next set as I see a lot of people liking them. I have heard they run a bit smoother and are a bit quieter compared to ATIIs. Not sure how they compare to ATIIIs.

i had a tough decision between the wildpeaks and cooper st maxx. I ended up going with the cooper's and have not been disappointed. I went with a 255, after have a 285 mud terrain and boy was that a night and day difference in ride, noise, and capabilities.

Toyo at3s are about 650 for 4 delivered. Plus install. Not too out of the ballpark.

I'm running Wildpeaks on 18" wheels now. Once those tires wear out I have 17" wheels ready to go onto my Sport. The Falkens have been excellent tires and are surprisingly quite. They're also very reasonably priced. When I do decide to buy tires for the 17's they will either get wrapped in another set of Wildpeaks or I'll try the Hancook Dynapro.

Well I feel this pain. I've got three set of 265/70/17s in the cart. Its the exact list in OP. I've also got a 18 OR. I've had a set of 17" wheels new in the boxes since January just waiting on me to make a decision.

I think I'll go wildpeaks... Yeah, those for sure. Unless maybe the Coopers. But then again the Toyos are new and might be amazing. I really just need to get hammered drunk with my credit card and a computer one night. Whatever else happens I'll probably end up deciding on tires.

    :thumbsup::thumbsup:
I just replaced my stock Wranglers (31k) I got out of them.. ugh
and replaced them w Toyo ATIII.. (265/75/16)
by far best tires I’ve ever owned on any Tacos I had.. got a sweet deal on E rated set for $811 out the door including road hazard.. they drive like a dream.. I’ve done Falkens before.. (louder than the Toyo’s) didn’t want to repeat.. Coopers came close to ST Maxx set.. I was set on a hybrid tire.. I think these fit my needs.. DD & off-roading once a month.. plus they look fuckn badass..

I'm going through this exact thing too. Have my spreadsheet built with all the 'viable' options with stats on weight, load rating, speed rating, height, etc. I have 4 SEMA T4R wheels in my shopping cart online too. The Memorial Day sales are probably going to end before I man up and order. But I still have probably 10k miles to go on my stockers, so there's time. There'll be one more Black Friday before I have to get serious about shopping.

Toyo for long term. The AT2 were legendary for wear.

I have the Cooper AT34S, they are a good tire, but the wear patterns are inconsistant, even with rotations and alignments.

I’m leaning towards the Nitto, but the Toyo is in there too.

Speaking of legendary. I got something like 90k commuting miles out of a set of Goodyear Silent Armors on my FJ.
