What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I love Arizona for the fact that you CAN drive off of a designated forest road up to 100 yards, as long as you do not leave ruts. Of course, we are getting more and more refugees from the Federal Republik of Kalifornistan every day trying to change our laws to meet their needs.

 

Worked on my rear frame repair. Dropped the fuel tank, cut LH spring and rear section of frame off, and cleaned some weld zones with wire wheel. Didn't have a lot of time to spend on it. Hope to make the LH frame side tomorrow evening.

 

Raptor lined the bed this weekend.

 

So, where's the best place to get used parts (that I can search online or call)? I need a 74231-35010-E0 ('00 passenger arm rest switch panel, with power windows and power locks in oak), which is apparently discontinued.

Damn, that looks really good. I have a raptor liner kit ready to go on as soon as I finish the bed repairs. Probably won't come out that good, as I lack patience for proper prep work.

 

I hate, hate, hate prepping for paint or paint-like projects. Totally worth it, but still...

 

So not a whole lot done today just a little customizing to make a good laugh.

 

Began the process of debadging, in anticipation of Monstaliner paint job. Spent quite a while measuring placement of all the badges, as I plan to paint them black, and reinstall. Liner will be a very light gray, not far off of the Lunar Mist. I'm planning to roll, rather than spray, and won't be doing inside doors, etc. Will also be installing the two doors and bed that I scored in Florida, to replace some rather badly filled body work.

 

Buy extra rollers.

Spray on, and lets just say while I did rent an appropriate compressor for the task, I don't have any experience, didn't have an effective way to really regulate pressure, so I sprayed anywhere from 40-70 psi and honestly, it looks great. Anyone with a modicum of experience will knock it out of the park.

i believe blue is indeed the OEM axle

 

Yes, Blue is OEM.

Go back and get the manual hub axle tube for the front differential. It's worth a small fortune.
