My mom loves Subaru. Parents first one was an 84 GL Wagon. Carburated, button selectable 4wd on the shifter, and what I learned to drive in. I remember that it had the spare in the engine bay. They drove that thing until the dealer refused to work on it due to frame rust. Then they sold it to a friend who still uses it on their farm for putting around. Mom replaced it with a friends 1999 Legacy LSi wagon with 100k miles. She drove that for several years. It had 2 engines, 3 transmissions, and 4 rear diffs. It eventually died with 500k. Now she replaced it with an 01 Outback with 96k miles.

Yeah, we should have. Although it would be a shame to beat that thing to death.

A coworker bought a grand vitara he was going to cut apart and turn into a sxs. He had to give it to his son because it was so well kept and nice and he would have felt bad about destroying it.

On an unrelated note, I think we're going to spend 4 days at spruce knob campground and another 4 at Blackwater this September.

I was just looking that place up. I guess there is a lake at Spruce Knob? I was looking for dispersed camping near a stream or river

Dispersed is legal in WV. When we drove around the canaan loop last year there were people just set up off the road.

I still see this one driving around our area - it was a fun vehicle but didn't have the rear-facing gunner seats of the Brat!

Hey y’all, long time off the forum and it seem like every time I post it’s another shitty thing. For all of our Philly area people I’d love if you can keep an eye out for my truck, as it was stolen from my place of work last week in Bristol, PA. I was running in and out of the maintenance shop and stupidly left the keys in the truck while I was inside expecting to come out and move it. It’s been a few days and I’m sure it’s either chopped up already or some idiot is driving it around like he owns the damn thing. Sad time for me as I’ve LOVED ownership of the truck and the fantastic community of Taco drivers I’ve met through these forums. I don’t know if I will replace it with another Tacoma or not, I feel like if I get another I will forever be trying to get it back into the shape that mine was in. I’ll attach pics of the way the rig was sitting at the time it was taken. Thanks all for the community and hope to still see some of y’all around. If nothing turns up I will likely be putting up a garage sale of sorts with the parts that I have and didn’t get around to installing yet.

The only difference from this pic is the front grill and bumper are damaged from hitting a deer only two days before the truck was stolen.

The bigger parts the truck had:

It was a TX TRDOR that had the bedside badges removed. So it had the good scoop and TRD factory cat back exhaust.

-33x12.50r17 General Red Letter tires on black KMC Turbine wheels.
    - Older Walker Evans coilovers up front
    - Bilstein 5150 rear shocks
    - Now bent old style All Pro front bumper
    - Smittybuilt 9500lbs winch
