100 acres sounds pretty good. I’d like that.

Leave it to Walmart to fuck up an online order. Serves me right for buying shit from Walmart because Amazon was out.... Luckily I ordered enough oil for what was supposed to be two oil changes. Someone in their infinite packing wisdom decided to include 3 quarts of 5w20 with the rest of the 11 quarts of 5w40...... Car takes 6.9 quarts on a change. So I had ordered enough for two changes. The label is even a different fucking color so someone basically said "fuck it" when they were packing this box.

That seems like an odd weight to me. Maybe more common with high performance motors.. To be fair, the last sports car I owned was an '85 Celica Supra. While it was fucking awesome, it was pretty damn slow by today's standards. ~160 HP!

I have earlier this week. I haven't really gotten to push it super hard yet but so far it is impressive to say the least. It punches well above it's weight. It pulls super hard to 100 miles an hour and falls off a bit. At least, that was my impression from being able to get it there the few times I have. It also has a surprising amount of lateral grip. With the small wheelbase it does tend to get into a little oversteer but I haven't messed around with traction control off yet. Which, stabilty control catches it pretty flawlessly and isn't super dramatic when it does. At least in the few instances it's I have intentionally bullied it around a bit. I've only done one launch with the car and it was with traction control on. It pull's real hard out of the gate but the launch mode is kind of weird. If you mat the brake and then mat the gas you only have a couple seconds to let go before it starts doing a burnout. LoL

So far I do not regret the purchase one bit. Also surprising is the fact that the vast majority of people I have interacted about the car are very positive about it. I figured there would be more haters. So far I've only encountered a few and they've been of the "beat up chevy pickup" variety. The only other thing that is annoying is dipshits driving like assholes around me in their late model Chevy Impala's and Ford Escapes and shit. I've only had a few people goad me into trying to race so far but I've been mostly avoiding places where people tend to do that around here. I'm mostly not interested in street racing anyone. There are a few people I'd like to 'try' but they are friends and known good drivers. I want to race the guy that owns the dyno I use as he has a single remote mount turbo'd C6 Corvette base model. I want to race him stock and then with the downpipe and tune. His car makes mid-500's to the tire on very low boost. It's also an auto. Then I have a buddy that has a pretty much full bolt on Audi S4 I'd like to give a go. So we'll see how those pan out.

Otherwise I'm just saving up money to pay SCCA dues and buy a couple helmets. I want to get a few autocross events under my belt and then see if I can't get involved in some track days as they start opening up the tracks for rent. Right now they are renting Raceway Park of the Midlands to 5 racers for a day or weekend. $150/day per head. Which is not bad at all. Probably be $250/day including track insurance. The only problem there is the almost 5 hour drive. Not conducive to a "fun" track day when you either drive close to 5 hours to then put in a full track day or put in a full track day and drive home after. That is rather taxing. So I would have to plan on spending a couple days out that way if I wanted to do that. I for sure want to get it on Blackhawk Farms when it opens up. Hopefully Autobahn Country Club if I can get in on a HPDE day with the Porsche club or something. Then the big one is going to Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI. That's my real big goal before the year is out. Go up there and camp or stay at a hotel and do a race weekend there. That place has been on my track bucket list for a while. After I understand the car more and probably get a new set of rubber with a good track alignment if I already don't have those things by then.
