Hey guys, I recently bought 3inch non-adjustable Toytec/Bilstein coilovers with an aal for the rear for my 2012 DC Off-Road. Next thing is obviously wheels and tires. I’m looking at the ko2s on a 17x9 wheel but not sure if I want to run 285/70/17 or 275/70/17’s, I’m wondering if the 275’s might look a little small on a full 3 inch lift? I’ve seen pics on a 3rd gen stock but none for 2nd gens. Any input will help, thanks!

Heck I have 265 70 17 on my 3in lift right now and it looks fine. I'm sure the 275 will look way better though

This has 3in the front? And what offset and backspacing on your wheels? I love that look

No rubbing running stock rims with mud flaps? Are you running any spacers?

I think about 2.5-3" up front. Offset -6 with 4.75 backspace. Hit up @eccracer104 he's the wheel wizard!

275/70-17 is a cool size if you don't want to deal with as much trimming, but be cautious with your wheel choice. You might be able to stretch that tire on a 9" wide wheel, but it isn't recommended. Might make finding an installer more difficult.

Recommended wheel dimensions are between 7" and 8.5" wide, so 9" is just a tad too wide. Lot's of 8" and 8.5" width options for aftermarket wheels.

    upload_2019-6-8_11-28-9.jpg

With that said, 285/70-17 will fit a 9" wide wheel.

Any chance you have a pic showing clearance between UCA and tire?

I'm running 275 70 R17 KO2's with SEMA wheels and an OME ~2.5inch lift on my DCLB. They're just ok looking on the DCLB which I feel needs a bigger tire to look good because of its added length. Another thing I don't love about the 275 70 tire size is they're only available as E-rated which becomes a heavy tire to push for the size. The 285 70 R17 is available in lighter ratings making it a bigger tire that weighs less. I hear good things about Cooper Discoverer AT3 and the 285 70 R17 SL rated tire is a lot lighter than the E rated KO2 I'm running now.

I am running the OME 885 and currently on 265 70 17 same sport wheels but they are close on the stock UCA. Are you perhaps running an after market UCA to clear the 275 70 17 tires I would be running the KO2s, is there atleast a finger width in between. Please advise oh great and powerful OZ.
