Damaged Junction on Hard Tonneau Cover

I have a folding hard Tonneau Cover for a 2019 Tacoma and forgot to latch the clip when it was folded up. I had a cooler in the very back and the cover ended up unfolded on the road and came down on the cooler which stood above the truck bed line and slightly damaged the hinge on the left side.

I'm hoping someone has some advice as to how I could fix or improve this damage as I don't understand how the pictured pin could double down on itself like this. I've included pictures of the bad side as well as the good side. The bad side is no longer waterproof and the biggest reason for seeking help. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Looks like the plastic on the inner part of the hinge cracked down the entire length of the hinge (at least what can be seen) You may have to see if you can get a replacement hinge from the dealer. I made that same mistake but i only did one fold and thought the weight of the cover wouldnt fly in the wind....was i wrong. I lucked out and didnt break anything, but I will NEVER do that again!
