All this quote comparing is meaningless especially if you don't mention where you live. Someone living in a densely populated city like LA or Seattle is going to pay way more than someone living in a one traffic light town in the rural Midwest, all other things being equal.

You guys are lucky with insurance rates over there haha! Im paying 275$ a month and thats with my 10 year no accident discount, so basically 50% off. Otherwise i would be paying about 500$ a month if no discount.

#1, new vehicles will always be higher than old.

#2 you haven't spoken with an insurance pro who would take time to explain all the variables that make up a premium.

#3 if I had to guess, you are not using an independent agent who represents multiple companies. You should try at least 2, and they should not represent the same companies, giving you exposure to about 10 possibilities with 2 calls.

#4, quit comparing to others. It will never be the same unless all the variables you don't understand (see #2) are exactly the same.

    Keep learning and shopping.

you have to shop around, bottom line. brand loyalty for insurance is useless. We switch every 18 mos to 24 months tops. Back with Geico. 18 Taco DCLB4x4 and wife's range rover evoque for 6 months is "now" after switching again from e-surance an Allstate lol company... 650. for 6 months for both with full coverage including uninsured motorist with 500 deductibles... granted we are in a slightly higher age group but damn...some of you guys are paying some high premiums for your insurance.

after comparing with others I don’t think I have the best deal... my coverage is 25/50/25... and after educating myself on the manner it seems to be not enough..

I have full coverage on my 2017 Off Road, $100 deductibles, $100K/$300K/$100K coverage limits. USAA, about $120/month. I'm married, male, 53, fairly rural northern California address.

If you are a Veteran or active military, try USAA if you haven't already. If either of your parents are active military or Vets, you might qualify or your own USAA account/policy.

I had to deal with USAA, got rear ended on the freeway. It was not a pleasant experience, 2.5 years later and still unresolved.

They damn sure had it tacked on my insurance premium 3 months ago when I switched to Geico. I had them take it off to save a few dollars. Bought my '19 Tacoma in Oct. of 2018. It almost has 5,000 miles on it. It sits out in the parking lot 80% of the time. Most of my driving is in town going to the store or laundry mat.

Same here. I like to tell them I'm not married to them when they jack my insurance cost and I start looking for cheaper insurance.

^This right hear^ As I said in my previous post zip code and credit score are number 1&2 of the things insurance companies look at. Zip code for how shitty the drivers are in your area plus crime and credit score to see if you can keep paying regular. Age of driver is pretty much not a factor anymore as long as you don’t have accidents or tickets.

I've been bundling with geico. They've been the lowest for a couple years now. Might want to give them a try.

And I thought my $110 a month with USAA ($500 deductible collision and comprehensive w/accident forgiveness) was high, currently $85 with COVID discount lol. No way in hell I'd consider paying $250 a month that I'm seeing some of you guys are paying.
