    Hey all,

    I've owned Jeeps, Fords and a Nissan, but never a Toyota. Thought it was time to join the club. I've always wanted one and now I have a 2020 Tacoma Off-Road. Only downside was this thing needs lifted. Finished the lift this afternoon. Just a spacer lift, but gets me to the height I wanted for little money. Sits much better now. Only other quick mod, after filling up for the first time, was a Meso Custom Gasshole. I can't believe a $40K+ vehicle doesn't come with a gas cap holder. The other thing I can't believe is that you can't get remote start unless you agree to give up your privacy and allow Toyota to track you where ever you go. Happy with the truck, but not happy with Toyota.

    The majority of modern vehicles require you to be tracked. That's cause of the Phone App. Same with aftermarket remote start w/ apps. You can be on the other side of the country and start your truck if you want with those apps.

    It's a popular mod, It's a plastic piece you apply to your gas door and you hang your gas cap on it. Not a lot of people know you can already place it on the hinge.

    Not necessary but if you have 20 bucks why not

    Yes. Most vehicles have them.
    This is the Meso one OP was talking about:

    However, do you see how the cable kinda zigzag then attaches to the cap? Well that acts as a spring. It is long enough to stick it to clip and the cable will put enough tension to keep the cap on the clip (see picture on my previous post). Some people don't like it like that though, so they buy the Meso cap holder.

    Welcome from SE VA! gas cap holder? i use the one on the nozzle....just wedge the cap in there between the lever and the guard and it keeps the gas pumping at full speed and i always remember to put my cap back on! Enjoy the journey!
