I have a demello offroad bumper and it appears that the driver side sticks out more and the passenger side is more flush with the fender. What could be the problem?

I have 1/4 " over hang on passenger and about 1/8" on driver never really caught my eye before. I think if you were to loosen up all the bolts you may be able to get it a little more equaled out.May need a 2nd set of hands

Do you have to cut to fit? Shouldnt there be more gap or else flex will do some damage?

My 'sort-of' point is that if there were some gap, you may not notice what you are noticing.

When you re-tighten the bolts try to do 1 bolt on each side so it doesnt suck it back in either direction.

You definitely want a gap between bumper and flare. I dont have any pics of that.

From other Tacoma’s with demello bumper I’ve seen they don’t have that much gap

You may want to double check how the lower part fits with the fender. The passenger side looks like it's bowed out compared to the driver side. I ran into a similar issue with my front bumper. I will also echo what others have said, there needs to be a bigger gap to account for flexing.

Yeah there's not much holding that area in. I tore mine In the corner when I pulled my bumper. :anonymous:

Hey bud, you need to cut a little more of the plastic. I would also loosen the bumper up and try to center it a little better. It could just be off from shoving into the fender and pushing it out on one side.

This picture below is how much the frame flexes away from the body off road. That's why we recommend a gap.

How did the is work out for you? Did you get the bull bar? if so any issue with the driving sensor? Going to be dropping the cash but can’t decide about the bar being in they way I want the protection though..
