Fender Flare Idea

I have a black Off-road and am curious if anyone else (especially with a darker Tacoma) has considered painting their flares? Having a black truck, I think a lighter grey color might look good to create more contrast than the black plastic. I've also thought about using a Raptor/Bed Liner. Curious if anyone else has tinkered around with the same idea. This raptor is a good example of what I mean: black paint with a little lighter colored flares to make it contrast more. Cheers
