    Besides, I have a kid and a wife, I’ll tell them it makes gold and they’ll do it. I better find gold with it though, because I am really going to be in trouble if they find out it just makes dirt!

    wilcam47 is right, he made a free meteorite pick up stick with some of those from a salvaged HD epoxied onto a wood handle, it worked really well! It would also work well when you are trying to see if it’s metal or gold under that dirt in your scoop.

    That system is a bit of work, but will certainly find gold. It's wise to detect dry wash piles. I detected my first nugget in somebody else's wash pile.

    Oohhhh lawdy lawdy! If you're carrying buckets, you're doing twice the work! If possible, set up the machine so you can shovel directly into it.
    But I'm guessing that you gonna find pay dirt soooo rich, you ain't even gonna care about shlepping buckets around! :eek:
