Sprint Booster

Thinking about buying one of these. Anyone with information. I know how they work but just wondering what experiences people have had with them.

 

For the price, you are not too far away from vF tuner / OVT and get a much more complete package than just a throttle spoofer?

 

I bought one. Biggest waste of money in my entire life. All it did is made the gas pedal more sensitive and it made the truck way too jumpy off the line even after messing with the settings. You loose all capability of gas pedal modulation when you install one of these things. Tying to maintain speed when going up a hill on the freeway? Push the gas pedal slightly and next thing you know you're redlining your engine because of the booster. I took mine off within a week. If you want to go faster just press the gas pedal further.

 

I have the Sprint Booster, best investment (of many) I have made on my Taco, when your setting is Performance (red) 9
w/ ECT "on" its a totally different dynamic in how that 3.5 performs, hard to believe improving throttle response can make such a HUGE
difference but you really have to feel it to believe it.

 

Installed one in my 2018. Definitely makes a difference as far as throttle response is concerned. I am happy with it.
I am considering OV tune package though
