Is a snatch block the female equivalent of cock block?

I bet this would be an achievable recovery using the following technique.

    1. Park the truck on as stable surface as available.
    2. If tugging something much heavier or on an unstable, use a tree strap or similar and tie off the ass-end on something (use the hitch hole or bumper mount).
    3. Connect a dynamic recovery strap on the sunk vehicle.
    4. Connect winch line to the recovery strap.
    5. Draw in the winch line to load (stretch) the recovery strap.
    6. Crack a beer.
    7. Watch some physics happen.
    8. Repeat steps 5-7 as necessary.

I watched one of my old-guy buddies pull a sizable John Deere buried in sticky Wisconsin farm mud using this method. I also have done a recovery like this on a full sized off-road SUV who sunk themselves up to the doors in swamp mud. It's a pretty handy recovery trick.

I almost enjoy recoveries more than I like wheeling.

I try not to use the snatch block... too much load on the winch rope and stuff. I carry one and they have an important role, though like delivering ass-whoopins, leverage physics before force.

I had to read that a few times to envision it, that’s pretty clever I would’ve never thought of that.
