    Hi everyone,

I’ve decided to finally make a TW Profile after viewing posts on this site for years. Stoked to finally be a part of the community that has helped me with my truck so much!

Some quick vehicle details — I drive a black 2012 Tacoma TRD Sport Access cab. I bought it two years ago from a dealer in NH, and have since added Old Man Emu BP-51 Suspension Lift, TRD pro wheels, grill, headlights, and a Leer 100XR cap. I also have a Prinsu Cab Rack for the topper.

Recently I’ve gotten into truck camping, and decided to build a mobile kitchen/bed platform/drawer system (pics below, pardon my messy shop). It came out pretty well and I was thinking about doing a build thread for it. Would the 2nd gen build thread area be the right place for this? I think it would also fit in a 3rd gen, so I figured I’d ask.

The platform has two 5ft drawers, one standard and another one that pulls out into a mobile kitchen. It has a 12v and 120v system, a built in propane cooktop, a sink (with a 5 gallon water tank and 12v pump), and a 35Ah Lithium battery. The entire system charges through the inverter plug in the bed, and is just 8.5 in tall. Do you think people would be interested in a build thread?

    Cheers,
    Cameron

Very nice. Do you have deck sections that extend over the wheel wells when installed?

@Westside I don’t. I found during a past iteration of this platform that I liked having the storage off to the sides, so I didn’t build it to take the full width of the bed above the wheel wells. I also have a two person camping mattress that fits perfectly in between the wheel wells.

If your truck is a 2nd gen it belongs in the 2nd gen build thread area. Looks good! Post up a thread so everyone can see it and detail everything.

    Welcome to TW Cameron

Great work. You can see the time and eye for details that you applied.
