285/70/17 on a 1.75” front leveled coil over.

Lots of stuff rubbed. Just not on the cab mount actually. Top if the fender well, and the bottom rear corner. But every truck is different.

Third gens halve a lot more plastic protruding into the wheel well at the front and rear lower corners. At the very least OP (not going to try to tag him) will have a lot of plastic to trim and most likely lose the front mid flap mounts. Keep in mind your wheel backspacing could affect how and where you rub as well so it’s not a simple question with a blanket answer and will require dude to to some more research than just asking and general question.

Be prepared to cut up your front/rear fender well plastics. Pound your pinch welds flat. Do a CMC. Upgrade your UCA's, and replace drivers side diff bearing with an ECGS clamshell bushing. Any one or all of these things could and likely will cause you issues. So if there's anything on that list that you aren't prepared for, or willing to do... You may not want to upgrade your tire size. Every truck is different. I just did all of it, the first time. Been enjoying my truck ever since. But, bottom line... There is no correct answer. Those are things that affect it. And, you won't know until you mount the tires on the truck and drive it. Oh, yeah... Wheel size and backspacing will affect all of this as well. Do a little reading so you understand all of these things that may need to be done. This is the fun part of owning a Tacoma. Mods, mods, and more mods. In the end i,ts a one of a kind. And, it's yours.
    Welcome. And, enjoy your truck!20200419_160927.jpg 20200324_081759.jpg 20200419_160927.jpg 20200324_081759.jpg

Agreed, there are a ton of variables. That’s just what it took for me :hattip:

4.75 backspace wheels seem to clear the UCA well for 285’s, but no protrude the tire so far out that it rubs on more than it has to.
