hit the heated DIY garage with lift today and was able to remove the flash rust left behind here by FFs failure to protect the naked metal, the bottom seemed ok and there was still a good FF coating all over, the side was a different story, thin coat of flash rust the whole length of it

brushed on some CF 3000 gel product and see how it handles the rest of the winter season
this product just seems to look so much cleaner upon initial application than FF rattle cans

    :notsure:

"CorrosionX is the most useful, effective and versatile corrosion inhibitor / lubricant / penetrant available today. Its unique Polar Bonding technology causes it to lubricate better and longer, creep and penetrate faster and further. CorrosionX is not merely a corrosion "inhibitor"; CorrosionX actually disrupts corrosion, and its dielectric, self-curing Fluid Thin Film Coating (FTFC) keeps rust away long-term."

its probably a good time after a few months to take the halogen light to it and see if i can detect any holes in either the FF or the corrosionX hd spray in the rear wheel wells
gave them each a brief shot of power wand hosing (a couple of times at least) at the wash over the past couple of months, not a full blast, just a brief spritz at whatever pressure they use there
    some do not understand

black woolWax ftw right here on the appearance
makes the older-than-dirt truck look 20 years younger from a distance
now for the wait & to see its efficacy with the splish splosh roadspray
i may even spray some up there in the wheel wells and black it all out
