I had no idea what Flippac is until I looked it up... Ah... I see what you meant.. Cool.

I have been considering to get pop up tent on top of my topper... I haven't gotten it yet. I plan to get off road tires and lift first before I get pop up tent. I don't know yet.

I don't run a middle rail. But i do run a soft topper with those clamps. Could those clamp do the same job as the middle rail? ( hence) I can move the mounts forward or closer to the tailgate. I would like a driver side please! (3rd gen)!!!

After first use and driving around to get to the park and hitting the highway,... this thing is badass and I'm already getting looks and complements! Sturdy and strong, it does move some but thats only because mu truck ride like a tank. Also if you have a 6 inch lift like me and gotvthe passenger side, be careful with trees on the side of the road... if you live in the good ol US if MF A!!!! Totally worth the money and wait, LOVE THIS MOUNT!!!20200530_072102.jpg 20200530_072050.jpg 20200530_071252.jpg

well The front Mount needs the center rail for rigidity. It’s not designed to be used any other way. I can add you if you would be willing to add the front rail!

that’s amazing!! Thanks for the review!

I was looking into it but haven’t yet. Basically if the hole spacing fits it should work.

    You have 2 options:

    1) With Softtoper with bike mount:

You can add tie down point under the truck, maybe on the truck frame (or place the tie down point under the bolt of the fender flare in middle, I don't remember if there is a bolt or clip.. if clip, forget it and add tie down point on frame or wrap around the axel behind the truck tire with lock cable). Once you have the mount from this thread, you can lock your bike with lock cable. Wrap the back wheel of your bike with lock cable and the tie down (or wrap around axel) at the bottom..

    2) No topper of any kind.. just open bed with mount:

Lock your bike from your back wheel to your tie down points in the bed with lock cable.

Something like this: If you get this from the store, don't forget to get padlock(s). Either key or numerical lock.

I have another options you can use:

U-Lock that you can lock it by wrap the wheel and bike frame.

Or take the bike down and lock it at the big tree, bike rack, or pole, you get the idea.

I was thinking he meant this:

    https://www.etrailer.com/Truck-Bed-...MI2vObwqLe6QIVxsDICh10YQpQEAQYDyABEgL_ZvD_BwE

as far as a cable lock, all mounts have a 1” hole outside of the Plastic bed rail top for use with a cable lock.

Oh that axel lock.. I thought he meant axel behind the truck tire.

Are you saying that we plan to drill a hole in bed rail top before we mount that bike mounts?

[cringe] I wouldn't drill a hole. I prefer tie downs or something.

What? No drilling. Look at the image I posted of the rear mount. There is a hole meant for a cable lock.

I see the hole, I thought that mount is on top of bed rail top. Are you saying the mount is bit longer between the rail and tire?

Check the OP for photos to see how it all works. I think that’ll help with the questions you have.

Lmao and I kept looking at it when I was installing it lol.
Here’s some more safety options for another lock that can be added to your back window, they also have an option to buy with a cable lock as well.
