I just finished up installing my new ECGS 4.88 gears in my '99 4wd. Took it on the initial 15-20 min run, and everything seemed to go smoothly! I do have a few questions for those who have more knowledge and experience with new gear break in procedures.

    1) For the initial run, I locked in the 4wd. Now that that is done, what's the best way to go about continuing to break in the front diff? I'm not using the 4wd a ton, but when I do I'd like to know I'm not going to risk ruining the gears.

    2) The instructions that came with the gears says to drive no more than 50 miles without a full cool down of the gears. I usually use this truck for work, which usually means driving short distances (well less than 50 miles) and 10-15 min of the truck sitting. Even though its short distance driving, would it still be a bad idea to use the truck in this manner before the 500 mile break in?

    Thanks for the help!
