    My favorite photography forum is FredMiranda.com, especially if you are looking for deals on used gear. The deals go QUICK, though. I try to check the used gear forum 3-4 times a day.

    Another good forum is Dgrin.com. It is a SmugMug help board and has lots of general discussion, also.

    Also, be sure to see if there are any local (to you) groups on Flickr.com, as Flickr has topic and regional discussion forums, too. Here in North Alabama, we have a busy group (North Alabama Photographers Guild) that is full of all skill levels of photographers.

    I know someone already mentioned NikonCafe. However, I have to give it a second plug, as it is owned by a friend of mine.
