Are you supposed to order a p/n 17A (driver side) plus 17B (passenger side) or just 2x 17A's?

You can fit a 19” on the driver side and 18” on the passenger side. Have been doing this for years.

btw - don’t get me going on my Bosch icon rant

Thanks Madjik Man. Interestingly, Bosch told me that Icon will not work with the Tacoma 9x3 wiper arm hook.

I can never remember which sizes I need to get so I just bring my old ones in and compare the size LOL. But yeah the 17s are way too small

Obviously the sweep with the 19 and 18 is a lot more noticeable than the 17s

Interesting.... I might try this. By your post I'm assuming you don't use icons? Supposedly either the icon A or the B has more curvature than the other to better fit the side it is recommended for. Have you ever noticed either of your wipers not clearing the glass as well as the other?

I don’t use Bosch Icon wipers after the first set. They just aren’t good for my climate.

In ideal conditions they worked fine. But as soon as it got to around 35*F they became blades of granite that absolutely sucked. My first wintry drive up the passes was awful.

Plus wiper blades don’t last long here anyway. The intense summer UV, cold/snow in winter, etc wreak havoc on wiper blades. So spending $50+ on a pair two times a year isn’t palatable.

And to answer your question: the sweeps are great on both wipers (19” and 18”).

Cool, thanks for the reply. That's weird. I'm in Colorado as well. I don't have icons but the wife does on her 4runner and has liked them. Of course she is probably the least observant person on the planet.

    What wipers do you use?

I buy the Michelin’s they sell at Costco for non -winter use. Super cheap and work great.

Then I buy the winter specific blades they sell at Walmart. Forgetting the brand right now, but they too are cheap and work great in the Winter.

I can buy a set of the Michelin’s and a set of the Wal-Mart ones for less than one set of Icons.

Cool, I'll check it out. Please let me know if you remember the brand at walmart.

    Thanks!
