Just got some all pro standard peaf packs. However one of the spring retainer clips I think its called, is a little loose. I am able to wiggle it side to side just a little. While the other clips are solid and stiff. Is this a cause for concern? Should I try to pound the bottom bolt in more with a hammer? And/or tighten the bolt and nut on top more? Here's a pic of the retainer clip.

Finally the leaf packs have a some surface rust and cosmetic damage to the finish. Would it be alright to sand the rust off and spray it with spray paint? If yes, what paint would you guys recommend? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Super excited for the install! Thanks guys!

Completely normal to have some movement. If you ever really flex out the springs, they will all start moving but it doesn't hurt anything. They are there to keep the individual leafs lined up. Without those the leafs can splay out in various directions and possibly hit things like the gas tank....

Any good quality spray paint can be used. I used Rust-o-leum Professional semi gloss black when I repainted my Alcan springs last year and it has held up great.

Thanks for the reply man. Good to know. I'll just spray paint the leaf pack with some rustoleum and be done with it until I am ready for the install. Can't wait!
