I’m new into this truck community and I wanted to learn more about suspensions tires wheels and anything that really goes into the truck to make it better. I recently purchased a 2020 TRD Off Road Tacoma and I needed some guidance in a couple of things, If you guys could help that would be awesome. I’ve been doing research on long travel kits and really wanted to know if your guys input. I know is quite expensive but my questions are; are they reliable or will you have to change parts often? How is maintenance on them? Is it worth it to install it if I use my Tacoma as a daily? Also, what is the difference between long travel and mid travel? For now I am looking to just do a 2.5-3 inches lift but I don’t really know what tires or lift kits I really need. I am also looking to lift the back maybe an inch or inch and a half. I live in Baja and I like going off roading on the weekends but during the week I use my truck for work. Any input would be greatly appreciated thanks!!

Doesn’t sound like LT is for you at this point.

Lot of info in the suspension forum. I’d do some reading.

Lots of different set ups. Base it on your needs IMO. Also stay away from spacer lifts IMO. BEEN there never again. Lots of great budget lifts. Bilstein , Eibach and many more. Also 3” lift require a lot more then you think to do it right.
    Good luck

Rims. SCS can’t go wrong with them.

My best advice though, call @HeadStrong Off-Road and tell them your wants and budget and they can help you assemble everything you need.

    ...stuff
Keep the truck stock and use it the way you plan to use it. You will start to realize what you need to do and what you don’t need to do. Don’t commit thousands of dollars to something you have no experience with and know nothing about yet.

    and welcome by the way
