Just got a new 20 Tacoma TRD Off Road and want to keep the stock rims and not lift it quite yet, but will be doing a lot of moderate off roading and camping so would like to do a more aggressive tire. Would like to go with the BFG KM3 with just the stock size 265/70r16. Would I get any rubbing or anything at all with no lift or should I be good? Thanks!

No, you will be fine with any tire at stock size. Even going up 1 size to a 265/75r16 you will be fine.

Your fuel economy will be affected, those are heavy tires with a lot of rolling resistance...just my .2

I have BFG KO2 tires and they are awesome. No noise on the road but pull through almost anything in the snow, mud, etc...

How are you liking the AT3? I have the AT2, going to need new tires next year. May go to KO2s but I had regear so I can handle the weight.

The AT2s didn't seem aggressive enough in deep mud which was why I was thinking KO2. I did hear the AT3 was a bit more aggressive than AT2 and better at getting the mud off. Let me know how it goes!

They'll fit fine but they are heavy,
    that's why I went with C-load Duratracs

TRD Pro suspension with Headstrong 3 Leaf AAL, DV8 OR front slimline bumper & Engine Skid Plate, RCI OR high clearance bumper, CaliRaised Trail Edition Sliders, Spidertrax 1.25" Wheel Spacers, 265/75 16 GY Duratracs, wrapped the OEM wheels, OR Roof Rack, Extang Exceed Hard top Tri fold tonneau.
With my OEM tires the speedo actually read a little high, once I switched to the 265/75R 16's the speedo reads just a tad low, at 65mph via GPS, the speedometer now bounces between 64-65mph.

Your description sounds like Michelin Defenders would work just fine for you.

Consider the conditions that your truck will be used in 85-95% of the time.

For tires, function wins over looks. All. Day. Long. It's all you have keeping you in contact with the road.

The only reason to have something more 'aggressive' is because of where you are driving. Or looking like the cool kids.

Get load C in the BF KO bros, not load E. I have them and they have been a fantastic tire.
