Well, my driver's side mirror got tangled up with my garage door frame and I now have a handful of plastic pieces. All the mechanicals (adjustment, turn indicator, side obstruction warning) continue to work but the plastic housing is in pieces. I've been searching for replacement parts, but coming up empty. Any of you out there have ideas for me or resources for parts?

    Thanks, Mike

Nobody at the counter today as it is a holiday. I was hoping to find on on-line source and do it myself (likely a bit less expensive?!).

Did the same thing; ordered a complete replacement for <$300 online. Sucked, but easy replacement.

OK, I'm trying to post photos of the "carnage" of my broken driver's side mirror and will give a bit of info on how it all came together. As I mentioned in the earlier post,
my mirror got tangled up with the garage door frame. All the mechanicals and the glass mirror itself were not damaged. The chrome cover appeared fine but there were a dozen broken pieces of black plastic. I researched the parts site on Toyota Parts Central (Olathe Toyota) and ordered what I thought was going to be a complete plastic cover (part #87045-04080). The part arrived and it is merely the chrome piece (same as I have in the second pic). I called back to Olathe and find that I have to get the whole mirror assembly (part #87940-04250), which doesn't include the cover!. As it turns out, my chrome cover was fine and I'm returning the one sent from Olathe.

Final cost will be $290 plus the 2 way shipping of the cover....total $310 (ouch), and the fix took maybe 45 minutes.

BTW, the 2016/17 door panel removal is different than the 2nd generations. I'd recommend watching this video for a few secrets as to where the screws are hiding and how to removal of panel.... http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...78EE4A4C95A0D3FFF6DE78EE4A4C95A0D&FORM=VRDGAR

    Good luck, Mike

    Hey man,

If you decide to purchase the entire new mirror what will you do with the old one? Cause I'd love to test it out on my SR to see if its wired for mirrors with turn signals!

Did it happen to be wired for it? Need new mirrow. Rock hit and broke a small cover below mirror, and can't find part anywhere.

What about the black plastic piece on the bottom? I need to replace that piece on my 2017. Any ideas where I can get just that?

Just did this to mine this morning not as bad. I'm going to see if I can snap the pieces back together.

I got lucky and was able to snap everything back together with just a minor scuff.
