I'm curious what everybody is running for side marker leds in their second gens? I just received a order from Tacoma beast to find I ordered the wrong side bulb (3157 profile peak). I just figured out they are suppose to be 168-194s.

Diode Dynamics sells side marker LED bulbs. Might be worth a look.

Those are really dim. They have a frosted plastic diffuser cap on them. The kind of 194s I run are 2 circuit boards in a T shape. I buy most of my LEDs from jdmastar on ebay.

I got mine from @csjumper2003 here on TW. I got the extra bright ones and am very happy with how they look.

It flipping side marker bulb. Let me guess you put some high dollar bulb in for a side marker.

Not high dollar, but still bright as Hell.

Sylvania LEDs are the worst POS LEDs on the planet. You’re better off spending your money on scratch off tickets than buying Sylvania LEDs.

Why do you want side markers to be extra bright?

@MrFixit420 Im curious about a lift for my vehicle. I see you have the eibach stage 1 and a 3 leaf icon AALs. How much did that cost and where did you get those parts?

Are these the markers you run? There are a lot of Jdmastar lights on ebay

Thanks a lot I appreciate the help! How long have you been running them? Do you use the white bulbs for more then the 3rd brake light like a vanity mirror I believe those are the same bulb size. I picked up a set of interior lights from Tacomabeast but I don't have any for the vanity mirrors.

I’ve been running them for probably about 2 years. When I had the OEM rear bumper, I ran 1 in the right license plate light. I had the trailer 7 way connector in the left license plate light hole in the bumper. The LED lit up the license plate really well. The only slight problem with it was that the light kind of reflected off the chrome bumper between the license plate and the trailer connector on the left side. I tried 1 of them in a map light and it was way too bright. I don’t have vanity lights, but I’m sure these would be way too bright for those.

That's true I would probably blind myself using the mirror. I barely use it I just figured it would look good with the other leds. Glad to know these bulbs last though.

You could also check out Philips 168ALED bulbs. A little pricey at $20 a pair, but the Philips name (and warranty) tends to demand a premium.
