Unrelated to your MT problem, but I bought the ONLY TRDOR access cab within 400 miles back when I got mine.

You pay tax in the State you live. Any dealer can do that for you anywhere or you can temp it home and do it yourself. I'd just let the dealer do it.

I just bought my Tundra out of state and didn't pay sales tax. Same for my Tacoma. And my Jeep. And my Camaro.
I don't think I've ever actually purchased a vehicle 'in-state' (military bs) but I've never paid sales tax for the state in which I purchased the vehicle. I always pay the sales tax for my state when I register it. They bend you right over. Not even the courtesy of a reach-around.

The dealer in other state says they factor in the taxes for this state, AZ and we do it all there.
The whole tax thing is sickening and such blatant extortion!

If you're still interested in ordering one new find a broker. My family's last two vehicles were ordered thru the same broker. My Tacoma was made to order. It's nice when you show up to pick up your vehicle from the fleet sales group and spend only 15 minutes at the dealership and drive away. Last time I did the whole thing over email until day of pickup.

Off road DC SB you mean right? Not sport.

There are plenty of dc short box over here, but they are all sport. As far as i know there are no MT DC SB OR in canada, only access cab OR comes with 6mt

you just have to find the right saleman/dealership that wants to work for/with you. Then can find the truck you want that is going to another dealership and then trade something that is schedule to come to them. But if they are lazy they don't want to put the time and effort in. When i was looking for a AG Pro MT everyone was saying 3-6 months wait time, my dealer trade for one allocated to some other dealer and i had it in 3 weeks....

A big THANK YOU to all of you!
Thanks to the advice on this forum I opted for a manual, and looked in cars.com, and we just signed for a 2020 TRD Off Road Crew Cab in manual (white)! Now all we have to do is get it from Kentucky to Arizona! Looking for a good shipping company.
    Can't wait to drive it!

Congrats, you'll love it! I bought basically the same truck (only in Magnetic Grey) two months ago and it's great! I absolutely *love* the manual transmission!

I just shipped my Tundra from Kentucky to Maine a couple of weeks ago, I used TM Shipping as a broker and they had a driver within 5 days and it arrived on time 2 days later as promised with no damage. Was about $900. Had my Taco shipped from WI to ME in ‘17 and it was $1100, cant remember that company but they sucked anyways (damage to my truck, driver was a prick, was refusing to acknowledge the damage on the form, tried to take my truck, cops were called, it got ugly)
You can hunt for companies yourself and save a few bucks but from personal experience doing that for military moves, my time and hassle was worth the money I was trying to save anyways.

    Congrats on the truck!:bananadance:CC6F96B1-C5E2-4A11-918E-208C234188A0.jpg

It just depends on the dealership. Toyota works on a allocation system, dealerships get a allocation of a certain # of each model, each month. When I speced out my 2020 TRD SPORT DCLB AT 4X4 Prem Pkg VOODOO Blue ,I went to Different Dealerships, I am in Philadelphia, So I went to dealerships in PA/NJ ( 2 Different Regions, Phila is in MD region,NJ is in NJ region) My truck came VIA CA, dealership in CA needed a Camry to close deal, so The Camry went to CA, and my Truck came here to PA. All the did was a "Allocation Swap", this was before the units where built, so took little time but worth it!! I Started in September, Took about 3 weeks for unit to be located, got a build date of Thanksgiving day, build was week of Thanksgiving, Arrived at Dealership 12/12/2019, Drove home 12/17/2019, was worth the wait, any questions just ask!

Just have to deal with right Sales rep, and keep on the sales rep, General Mgr,Inventory Mgr!, After she came , dealerships from all over the trying to get her! And after allocation swap, dealerships where trying to get her, but they had to say that she was already spoken for /sold! I am By Philadelphia Area, Calls where coming from Texas, Florida,Kentucky,Tennessee, so you just have to push...
