Shredded serpentine belt causes coolant leak

    Yeah, for sure!
    I was happy when I found the leak coming from that hose.
    $30 and the dealer will have it for me tomorrow.

    Damn, I had the exact same thing happen. I just replaced the alternator and didnt even remove the whole belt. It sure looked straight. damaged my hose the same way.

    After having a serpentine belt ordeal of my own, I 100% recommend the Toyota branded belt. I know Bando makes it, I don’t give a chit. The Toyota branded belt is made to better specs than the Bando branded belt. Yes, the Toyota belt is more expensive. Yes, it’s worth every penny more and then some.
