I changed the air freshener to a new one, one time.
Have a set of brand new TG axle relocate plates. Can move the axle forward or backward 3/4” or 1”. I went with different springs so didn’t need these. Asking $25 and ship on your dime.

Bought for $35 and paid $10 in shipping so you’ll be saving $10ish bucks.

I was using a similar plate when running my OME Dakars (with the added leaf too). I don't recall which direction I had to move the axle, but running 35s that completely filled the stock fender up, this fixed the slight bit of rubbing on the flare and I didn't have to do any cutting in the rear with the 1" body lift.

Good option for anyone running into that issue.

What does this do exactly, is it like changing caster (but for rear wheels)?

When you get aftermarket leafs, the centering pin is moved to compensate for the lift and stuff. Ome dakars move the centering pun forwards so it puts the axle a bit forward to compensate for the lift. In my case, my tires rub the front of my fenders because I didn’t need the axle to be moved so this will essentially move your axle back or forwards (whichever you need) to correct this I’d needed. I bought new leafs to correct this and don’t need these anymore.

Great, thanks for the explanation. I have AALs, so I don't think this will help me.

    GLWS!

They fixed my issue with Dakars and AAL with 32" tires...

    Thank you, sir.

I bought Low Range Offroad (basically Trail Gear) AAL to stiffen up my stock rear leafs and give me a little lift in the rear. Looks like I'll be using the stock pin and pin location (since I am keeping the OEM leafs).

Besides saving some money now to put towards other stuff, my rationale is that my leafs are pretty much still brand new from when Toyota replaced my frame last summer (they put in new OEM leafs and LCAs along with the frame).

I'm following procedures from various posts on TW, like this one: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/1st-gen-add-a-leaf-install-write-up.231666/

    Any other tips?

Sounds like a solid plan to me! The stock location will be centered in the wheel well so that’s a plus. Did Toyota replace your frame under the recall?
