1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

We've seen front end swaps a ton. But finally I can visualize a 01-04 DC with a 95-97 front end. Been wondering ever since I bought my truck. Crazy how it seems like less people do this than 3rd gen 4Runner front end swaps.

 

Ok so 01 up tacoma fenders work with 95 grille and hood

Wonder if 4 runner fenders work with 95 tacoma grille and hood

 

Seems to be doing much better. Sent it on a short rip and was putting down the power enough to roast the tires through a turn. I didn't realize I was driving past my roommate at the time but came home to this text

 

Don't think so. My 96 4Runner body lines were just too different.

The sad thing is it only takes 1.5 hrs to get the engine and trans dropped in A 2018 sienna

Saw an article about how apparently Yellowstone is experiencing small earthquakes, so next up on the 2020 agenda for June/July might be the explosion of a super volcano. And where there's super volcanoes, there's Godzilla

 

I'm proud to say my Alcans are dead silent.

Although being that they are still leaf springs, I know it's only a matter of time

 

I'm still waiting for my stupid ubolts Not even sure these Dakars will last long enough to put them on the flatbed.

I ended up just buying a set of OME ones, the Alcan ones I ordered ended up being the wrong size but it was my fault. I gave them OMEs measurements but OME measures theirs differently and I didn't catch it.

The OME ones work perfectly with the Alcans and the shims, just barely long enough but they work. Got about 6 threads showing under the nuts

 

Oh damn.. I didn't know about the asteroid due on Saturday when I made the post. Can't make this stuff up.
