    help me diagnose this????
    I have 5100s ,887 coils , spca uca's

I have had this set up for a couple of years now. Recently developed a sound. For example when i hit a large speed bump i hear a clack under the front on compression. I have checked the sway bar and there is space and no rub marks. I have had it in a shop. We test drove it they heard it. I left it. When i picked it up they said they cannot find anything in the front end and everything is tight. They Screenshot_20200527-214926_Gallery.jpg test drove it and it was fine. Charged me for an hr labor. I leave and first bump...clack clack.
It sounds to me like when its gets compressed i hear almost like something coming in contact with something else.
I am at a loss here and just want to get it fixed...
    Suggestions ?

Probably the rack and pinion inner tie rod... are the rack boots wet?
Also outer tie rods, upper control arm bushings, ball joint, lower arm bushings, cam bolts (did you have an alignment recently), there are a couple of others also like body mounts, radiator mounts...

Body/Cab mounts might be it. Took forever to narrow that down for similar sounds on an International Type 4 Wildland Fire Engine.

Same here, speed humps that compress the front suspension near fully or fully will result in that clank. I have countless hours under my truck looking for that noise. I've replaced the front body mounts, springs, struts and all of the bushings in and around the strut assemblies. I may buy a pair of chassis ears and go that direction.

My truck makes the exact same sound. I'm on stock suspension. I have to travel across 2 speed bumps when I get to work and when I leave. Oddly enough, it will almost always happen on the first speed bump I encounter but not the second. Almost like it's something that lubes itself after the first compression.

Mine did it on stock suspension and foxes. I totally forgot about it, wonder if it's still there.

Many people with similar issue, including myself and a lot of 2nd gens. Many reported damaged radiator mounts and front cab mounts. The inner metal sleeve of bushing makes contact with frame due to the bushing wearing through. Hitting a bump causes this because of the force from the cab jarring against frame. I cannot confirm this personally tho. I turn the music up loud for now.

After my CMC I went a re tightened the front radiator mounts and front 2 cab mounts. I got about a 1/2 -3/4 turn out of each

Lower mainland, I’m always unsure of dealerships. Don’t know if it’s just the general bad wrap people give them or what.
