If you order the whole setup from Crutchfield and want to retain the OEM USB connection and want the Maestro RR for integration, you will actually use everything they suggest minus the Y adapter. I contacted them about that before I got too into it and they refunded that right away, no questions asked.

Only additional things would be the Maestro sTO2 antenna adapters, an XM tuner if you want XM, and a parking brake bypass if you want video during "testing."

so the tuner is because there’s no built in XM?

so the adapter would allow me to use the factory XM antenna just as long as i buy the XM tuner to go along with this?

Correct on both counts. The antenna adapter kit will let you reuse the factory XM antenna and the factory GPS antenna.

Got mine in last night. The fit is great. Just gotta figure out all the settings since I didn’t have much time to mess with it.

Looks great man. are you able to push it any further back to flush it up?

also how’s your feelings on it overall? Any tips on what was and wasn’t needed or what could be done for the next to make it easier?

This is a modular unit so I’m sure I could figure out a way to flush mount but it would require some modifications. Also, my install was a bit hasty and this is the first radio I’ve done in probably 20 years. I’m not upset about how it’s sitting though. I have to mess with wire routing and mic this weekend so I’ll see about getting it a little more flush.

So far I like it, but I haven’t spent much time with it yet though. I’ll know more in a few days.

I’d suggest just buying through Crutchfield. You’ll get everything you need except the adapter for the GPS and satellite radio antenna. You’ll just have to get those separate.

Has anyone tried this with Polarized sunglasses? I also tried one of the Android units, and it's vertically polarized! It totally disappears when I wear polarized sunglasses. It would be nice not to have to worry about that.

to those who have this installed, can you upload a picture of what the reverse camera looks like on the screen? I almost pulled the trigger on the alpine halo awhile back but the camera/screen resolution was terrible. If this is close to factory then its gonna be getting installed asap as this is the easiest and cleanest setup I've seen so far!
