Would mind sharing the values you put in to get 14.3? I have tried numerous values including those shared on this site and mine just won't change from 13.6ish in the OVTune data logger.. thinking I'm doing something wrong...I changed values in VFtuner and saved them. Then opened flash manager and flashed the ecu with tune 1.05.1. 1.05.1 seemed to take (very well I might add) but nothing on the alternator settings took..

I don't have it all in front of me at the moment, but I set the 30 and up values to 95 and the percentages to 102.39 or whatever the "max" value Mat posted.
Export the new file with some new name. Then use the gear icon in vf to bring up TFM and select your new file.

I don't want to push anything too far and I can't get a response from anyone to help so far. Hopefully tune packs will be release tomorrow.

My batteries need 14.7v for charging, so I'd like to get it on the money

Are you flashing the file you made changes to? Sounds like you flashed the tune you didn't make changes to.

    this.

you would need to save the file and flash the file you made.

I don't know for sure. But I think export and save as are the same thing.

I believe when you export it, it will keep the same filename unless you change it.

So export the sample file, use the export to make changes to, then save that file as a name of your choosing, then flash that file.

"Export" equals "save as" in other software.

Also try revving the engine a little and see if it gets closer to 14.7, I believe the FM says 2500 RPM at 102.39

I drove around a bit today and sat 14.3v at the peak

Is 95 as high as I can go?

Ok I figured out the file path issue. duhhh. To give youguy
"Warning" This is in my dual battery 2018 AT TRD set up. YMMV. Use at you're own risk. Drove around for a bit on it an was fine. I'll monitor and report back.

Thank you for this. I figured out the file path error. It was mine. Here's what I got on my last alt tune (values below). 14.658 on the PID's... I'm not going to press it as my batteries while on my onboard charger only ever get to 14.6ish volts. Worthy to keep in mind battery specs are not an exact number.

ECT set to 96 30 and up only.
    Phase duty 1 14.7
    Phase duty 2 90
    Phase duty 3 95
    Phase duty 4 90
    Phase duty 5 95
    Phase duty 6 13.6 - 102.39
    Phase duty 7 13.6 - 102.39
    Phase duty 9 - 90
    Phase duty 10 14.7 max 2 - 102.39
    Disable control set to 0 - 3.57
Base phase additional additive - 0
    Phase duty minimum - 67.84
    Phase duty maximum 14.7 - 102.39

I'll give this a try today!! Awesome thanks!

@OVTune will there be any handbook or help to learn what the individual parameters do?

Edit - i couldn't help myself here at 7am. Just made the same edits and flashed. I'm getting 14.7ish... it does fluctuate to 14.8 at times when i rev.
I'm good with this as long as we're not pushing things too far

Is there a rough timeline on when AT will get the tune packs. I’m good for now running the 2.0 beta way better than stock. Just curious as I sent in the calibration numbers a while back. Thank you for everything so far.

Nice! The ECU will do it's best to stay on target with voltage but there will always be some small fluctuations. It's not a perfect system.

Yes actually when our updated site goes up, we will start posting our guide videos and software training material. We will also be doing some webinar classes later.

Is there risk of getting slightly lower V readings from the vF datalogger since it’s reading from the OBII port? Port may be reading 14.7 but you may be getting 14.9+ at the battery for example.

This post: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ry-is-hot-garbage.669457/page-5#post-23501833 got me thinking I may target 14.4 or so when 04B04 tune packs are released so I don’t end up putting too much into the battery.

The value you get from OBDII is the voltage reading the ECU is seeing. It should be close to what the battery sees but there is likely going to be anywhere from 0.1~0.2 volt variance from the terminals to the actual volt reading in the ECU.

On the Torque app, I can see Commanded voltage and OBD port voltage. I have seen a drop like you are noting at the port, but the Commanded seems to match. I would bet that TS and your Datalogger can pull both values also, I have just never looked.

Luckily we have all the MT folks testing so they’ll burn their trucks and batteries down and dial things in before us slushbox owners start turning knobs.

Go put some miles on those AGM tweaked MT’s!
