CBI front bumper VS Covert series for 3rd gen

hey guys was looking at swapping out my stock bumper and was seeing peoples thoughts on the covert series was or just dropping and extra 500 and going for a full bumper replacement.

Probably depends on what kind of trails you plan on doing.

 

I just ordered the covert. Now, I put a lot of thought into this. Mainly what was my plans and direction I wanted to do with my truck. I thought about the full bumper, even picked up a spare off FB market place for 50 bucks to use as my cut. But then I thought about how often I truly go on trails, here and there maybe 3-4 a year and of those trails noting crazy that my truck stock hasn’t handled yet. So I figured why go with the full bumper, I know some people will argue about protections in crashes. Well if that’s your case I’d recommend a ARB the CBI, but for mild trails and a lot more camping I think the covert will give me all that I would want from a simple bumper. While not weighing a ton and giving me the added security of a winch.
