What material are the roofs made out of?

Just out of curiosity does anyone know what material the roofs on 3rd gens are made out of? today I was cleaning some bird poop off of the roof for the first time since I purchased my truck a month ago and I noticed some rock chips on the roof and what looked like a little black crack less than 1 inch long on the roof next to the shark fin antenna (the small crack was on the roof itself not on the antenna). I was going to see if I could take a picture of it but it started raining.

seriously though. I need to see a pic of that crack.

 

Im going to have to see if it stops raining or if I can take a picture of it tomorrow.

They lost the recipe for Unobtainium when they stopped making the first gens.

 

Its possible, it felt rough when I was trying to wipe it off with a microfiber towel, it wouldnt come off so I tried to spray some water on it and it didnt come off so then I tried my fingernail and it felt rough but it started to rain so I couldnt inspect it in more detail. Hopefully it stops raining so I can find out.

They were doing road construction though when I was driving my truck home from the dealership, that same day I got a rock chip on my tailgate, the passengers side front door, and now I found one on the roof too (apart from what looked like a black crack).

 

Pass a magnet on the material in question. At least you could confirm if steel or not.

 

I’ve never been to Walmart.

 

The new material is ultra high strength steel (UHSS),which is why body shops can’t reshape it, it doesn’t cooperate with working. What the composition is, I haven’t found. But it’s not cheap, and was presumed to be pretty damn good. So I’m interested in this crack.

 

Don’t go. It’s the worst.

 

It's only cause that antenna is getting interfered by the 5G death towers and causing the antenna to resonate.
