My brother and I tried it on his Frontier when it was new... didn’t turn out all that well.
I can’t remember the brand we went with, but the coating turned out to be very hard when it cured, even though there were small fragments of rubber mixed in with the paint. The end result was that everything would slide around in the bed anyway, even though there was an added level of protection.
He wanted something that would be tacky and keep stuff from sliding around so much, but it just didn’t work out.

My tacoma has one in it, only truck I’ve ever had with it. It was in it when I got it. I put a bed mat in it because like @MagtechPA said, everything slides around on it.
