Would think it would make it easier. Backing a short trailer is a bitch if you've never tried it. My 20 foot boat is easier than my wave runner to back.

@THE_KiRRAx Thanks for the reply, once I discovered it wasent going to work, I just quit working on it. I will start again in the AM, working from the camera back to the head unit. This would be a lot cleaner installation
if the RCA Cable were 10FT instead of the 20+ it apears to be.

Toyota makes a $6 OEM cap holder, but I'm not sure if the Tacoma fuel door has enough flat area for the adhesive to attach properly: https://parts.metrotoyota.com/p/HANGER---FUEL-TANK-CAP/63351363/7739928010.html

Perhaps you're right. That's sort of why I asked, I can see it both ways.

I haven't touched a machine in 3 or 4 years. I miss the Machining days but over here in Norcal was pretty hard for me to get a job so I made a career change to support my kids

Very cool, and thanks for that. The machinist thing can always be a hobby later on. I'm impressed with the profession because I'm a draftsman. Lol

Shit i think i set yhe record for installing a bed extender.....lets see started at about 530 took 2 hours because had go to the hardware store for the right drill bit, get gas, then interupted by 3 phone calls, then was grilling some chicken while doing it... but its done...

I know that feeling wel . I know it doesn't clean up the install much but a good hidden place to stash the excess cable is a large opening behind the center console front cubby (wireless charger area on some models). If you pull the carpet on the left side of the console in the driver footwell you can see a large empty space there, I have all my excess right there. Makes for a nice run because the wire can also go straight up to radio without some strange route.

Well officially it's done. This door killed me, I had it cut too big, then changed my mind, then had to cut it myself, with a skill saw...(metal blade cut like butter, but it snowed aluminum for a hour)....shocks hit the locks/latch, paint spattered, I sharted....wait...personal information. Phuckit. Done.

I'm a design/build guy so this back door was stupid without prior thought. The mechanics of all this shit together is nuts, and I've learned a lot. I'm happy, and now moving on with golf...and exploration of the Country. MERICA.
