Entune update

The entertainment screen displayed the message that there was an update for entune and asked if I wanted to download it. As I was at my destination I just shut the truck figuring I would do the update as I start it back up. The message never came back and when I go to settings to check for updates, it displays that the system is up to date. Is there another place to look for the update? I know the app on my phone for the truck does not work because the truck needs an update and was told that I have to bring it to the dealer to update it.
My truck is a 2020.

 

I just turned mine on to see, indeed an entune app suite update. Took 10 seconds to install.

Did you get the remote connect all setup on your phone yet?

 

I got the same message today and allowed the update to complete, it only took a few seconds to complete. Maybe it completed in the background.

 

I did the remote connect on my phone, the remote starter and the unlocking doors doesn't work. The dealer said that the truck needs an update and it's a 2.5 hour drive to the dealer so I have no idea when I will be going.

 

Don't bother with the dealer. Call Toyota customer care, they can do it all remotely. The guy knew exactly what he was doing, waited on the line while I downloaded, updated, and tested it to fully function.

Edit: Took less than 30 min.

 

Thanks I will call customer care, I tried the sos button and was told to get the dealer to update it.

 

Anything new? Or just patches?

 

My Apple CarPlay was not reading messages tonight-just a buzzing sound. Not sure I’d it’s related. I updated the service when it popped up right away. I will test if maybe it was a quirk tomorrow.

Is there an "revision" number for the latest update?? Can we access what rev is currently installed ?? Then we could all check to see if the update occurred - possibly in the background - or if we need to manually update ??? JAT

 

I have downloaded and installed the update over ten times so far. The update message keeps popping up every time I start up and several times while driving regardless whether I perform the update and install or press the "Later" button. It only appears when my iPhone is within Bluetooth range. All of my iPhone apps look to be updated. Does anybody have a suggestion?

 

try deleting personal data first..

yep, this! This update went fine but the last update, mine got stuck and despite saying it updated, it never actually did and would pop up every time I started the truck. Deleting personal data fixed it.

 

That seems to have done the trick. Thank you.
