I just got a new to me 2005 Tacoma. I got this to replace my 1999 that has a bad frame, details in that in the 1st gen section.

The truck I got is missing some parts in the bed. Specifically one of the boxes over the fender well inside the bed. wheelwell.jpg I found this on the Toyota online parts list, but it appears to be over 200.00.

Also I am missing the door to the passenger side rear compartment where the AC outlet is.Passengerside.jpg .

Finally I am thinking that the driverside rear compartment is more usefull. I would rather have the AC outlet inside the truck so I can charge my tools inside the cab. driverside.jpg So I am interesting in getting one of these to swap into the spot where the AC outlet is.

    Suggestions welcome,

    Thanks

1.The smaller box is part number 64991-04010. https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/ has it for $82 and change at the time of this post.
    2. The small door next to the outlet is part number: 64073-04011
    3. The longer door (no outlet) is part number: 64074-04011
    4. The longer (no outlet) compartment is: 64742-04010 - you can currently find them on eBay used for around $80 each.

Might be able to pull em cheaper from a junkyard.

Thanks for the info on the options. I will be checking the local junk yard when I get a chance.

Got the compartments I need from the Junk Yard. There were from a truck that had a nice Leer cap on it, but Darn... it had been rolled.

There are two small tabs on the top of the compartment you cannot see when it is installed. They engage the bed liner. Mine are so worn they do not grip anymore, but I have not had any problems.

Hold the top edges of the compartment. PULL it straight out and roll it down. Imagine that the bottom edge is hinged to the side of the bed liner. It is not, but pretend it is. That is the motion that removes the compartment.
