Got the passenger side fitted and hung. What a PITA. Was more trimming and fitting than I was imagining. A lot of taking it on and off. Got it fitted and moved in to the driver side.

Got it cut and stopped there. Will hopefully finish tomorrow.

Also got a little work done on the bed cage.

tacked on the tube clamps I picked up from latest rage last week. (1.5” .120 wall) so the cage could be removable. My dad bent some tubes up at his work and we got them sleeved in and tacked to the frame.

Ended up getting the driver side glass fitted and both sides mounted. Still need to trim to fit the tail lights and fuel door area but both sides are mounted and ready to go.

I’ll bring them to work with me tomorrow if you haven’t welded them up yet I can cruise over and see if they have the same fitment issues.

Would you ever have the necessity to remove the glass at any point for anything? I hung mine so that I can remove the glass without having to remove the entire bed. Those screws up against the back of the cab are going to be impossible to get to with the bed on right? Looks good either way. You did a good job.

yes the screws going down the front of the bed are inaccessable unless the bed is unbolted and slid forward. with the cage being removable its possible but definetly a PITA. i have no intentions or reason to take off the glass unless im replacing the current bedsides due to damage or cracking or something like that. :fingerscrossed:

my bedsides had really bad fitment along the front there so i had to run that screw line to make it mount flush

Today’s progress. Got the cage through the bed and connected to tacked frame pieces
