I am hearing mixed things of what you need to do to be able to flat tow a Tacoma. What are your guys thoughts or what are you guys doing to flat tow a Tacoma behind a Motor home

The mixed results are mostly because it matters what you have. I assume you have a 4x4. 5 speed? Auto?

I flat tow mine all the time, at least 25,000 miles towed. auto 4x4. Must have a driveshaft disconnect.
That thread is full of opinions. The manual says no. There are people with manual 4x4 who have done it without a driveshaft disconnect.

Working for recovery companies over the years.

If the rear wheels are on the ground the rear driveshaft is removed from the differential. No one wants to take the chance of paying for a transmission or transfer case .

Why Roll back drivers are happy when the 4x4 will fit on the bed

Key to acc to free up steering wheel. I do not use a battery disconnect. My trans is in park and TC in 2H. I also have a brake buddy and diodes in the rear lights connected to a harness that runs to the front of the truck. I pull the Break light fuse as well. Don't forget the driveline disconnect.
