Got it in two days, so that was mercifully quick. Let me know how you do. The only thing is you'll have to drill different holes in the bracket, but that's not difficult. I went and bought new 2" 6-32 screws with nylon lock nuts (would have bought 2.5" but that's all they had.). The new actuator is slightly thinner than the old one, so it worked out. Good luck!

I’m a bit confused, which end of the wire harness goes in the cab, and which end at the tailgate? Instructions do not show this part with the connector. Guessing it’s for disconnecting when removing the tailgate but is it waterproof?

The end of the loom with all 4 female bullet connectors is the tailgate end. The pair with one female and one male in the cab end is for the opener, the other is for the lock.

Update: In the days since installing the more powerful actuator there have been a few times when the thing wouldn't open the gate, and basically would just work when it wanted to. I took a can of WD40 and lubricated the latches on both ends of the tailgate and sprayed some on a paper towel then wiped down the catches as well as it seemed the latches were slightly binding as they cleared the catches and it has been working more consistently since then (in case anyone else has been facing the same frustrations as I have with this install). Hopefully that's useful info, as the ultimate fix for me has had to be combinations of adjustments and not just "one thing".

I would wonder if like shaving down the catches ever so slightly would help the latches to release? Seems like a heavy handed solution though.

I suppose that'd be an option, just grind down a bit off the top edge maybe. Hopefully it doesn't come to that!
