We tend to get the shaft up here with choice, colours, bed options, transmission choice, etc.
My experience is, manual options are Access Cab OR, Sport short bed, or Pro. To me, these are the only viable options with the issues the automatics have. The AC is a great option if you are a minimalist. Small cab, but longer bed is quite helpful, and it has the locker, etc. I have 2 dogs that would in no way fit in an AC, so had to upgrade to DC.
For what it's worth, I would find a 6MT Sport, negotiate hard, there may be some 19s around if you can live without a power seat and fancier radio, and go with that. For grins, I would talk to the guys at Krave in Calgary and hear what they say on the difference between the OR and Sport. I'm sure they can give you viable options to make a Sport do what you want it to.
Most dealers are around $47 ish for a 2020 Sport upgrade 6MT, but there are some deals to be had. There are some '19 automatic Pros in Edmonton for close to or even under $50K, but I can't recommend an automatic. If you're likely to pound the snot out the shocks, maybe upgrade if you're really worried about the Fox', but I doubt it will be an issue for some time. Someone will want them, good or bad.

Cochrane Toyota has more toys for them than most dealers, but they tend to be on the higher end of the price spectrum.
South Pointe and Country Hills are owned by the same group, so they should be close in price.
Charles Glen has good prices as well, with a good selection usually.
I bought my '16 AC from Country Hills in December '16, and when I traded it, it was re listed for more than I paid for it. If you are not sticky on colour, you may get a great deal somewhere. There are incentives for a couple more days, but if there '19s on the lot anywhere, and there are, they don't want 'em, so go for the throat!

But please, save yourself the anguish and get the manual, the 7 times you may need a locker will not trump the constant hunting for gears on the way to Canmore and through the parks...

Hey guys, any recent deals in MB here?
I’m in the process of negotiating on a 2020 Access cab TRD off road. Initial price was 445xx. After negotiating I got it down to 407xx before taxes.
    Any thoughts on this deal?

That’s a better deal for sure, but an AC should be less than $40k. I know there’s inflation and such, but my ‘17 AC was well under 40 when I bought it New in ‘17. They are harder to find these days though in AB. If you’ve got the $ and are interested, there’s a dealer in Edmonton with a 2020 Pro listed at $52k. You may get close to $44500 with some effort. They’re not flying off the lot, no matter what the trim level.
Try some mounted winters or KO2s if they won’t move anymore. They’re selling DCSB for $42k -$46 here in Calgary.
Good job so far, but keep on them! Unless it’s a unicorn, they’re not really doing you a favour, despite what they may trying to say

They’d have to order this vehicle in since theres limited stock of AC here.
That’s why I’m not sure how much more wiggle room they have after the discounted price.

Can confirm, live in Canmore. If you for some reason go with the AT budget $3k for a regear as soon as you pick up your truck.

I dunno how you guys got all these crazy deals. I consider myself decent at negotiating. Maybe it's BC. They know they can charge more here. I got the 2020 TRD offroad premium package. With 2 years maintenance. For 2.49% over 84 months. At cost 46750. I had showed dealers unhaggle pricing and had 5 dealers counter quoting. Three of them instantly dropped out after the maintenance package was offered and the remaining two dealers would only budge on the maintenance package. I ended up taking the two year package at my local dealer, they are expecting a August delivery date. Versus a three year maintenance package at a far away dealer with a late September delivery.

I had gone in pre covid to look at buying as well and ended up not taking anything as the financing rate was higher than 5.5% and they told us take it or leave it on pricing.

Local dealer here in Calgary offer me a 2020 off-road premium for 46,850 plus 5% tax. No maintenance package or anything like that so it looks like you did OK.
I ended up not buying and waiting another year.

I know it’s is 2020 thread but I managed to pick up a 2019 Pro with snorkel delete for 46k before taxes
I don’t know if it’s the greatest deal but it fit into my budget and I’m happy with the deal.

I had the same offer on the 2019 pro when I went for my 2020 offroad. I think they're clearing out inventory. They only offered it cause it was on the lot and they wanted to clear it out.

Totally. I went with the Pro because it had the mods I wanted ie small lift and upgraded suspension.

I ordered 2020 TRD sport with 6MT last week. They said they will get the shipment by the end of August. I consider myself decent at negotiating too but this time was a bit different scenario since no one has it in their stock. I tried 5 different dealers to order the truck with manual (Initially, I wanted TRD offroad with a manual transmission but we don't get that fancy stuff here in Canada) Some of them said they don't need to do any marketing Tacoma because it sells like hotcakes in GV area. I traded in my SUV for Tacoma so the only thing they could do was giving me the highest trade-in value. I don't think they gave me any discount on Tacoma. They gave me $1,000 parts/service/accessories credit, no doc. fee and 7-year' lifetime' oil change thing instead.

I bought my 2020 TRD OR DCSB for $42,000. $1,750 off of MSRP in the BC interior.

I walked in with an offer in mind combined with the trade in value of my 2008 FJ and they accepted it on my first shot. Was very surprised but happy for sure. Had to wait about 3 weeks for the truck to come in from the factory which might have played into the reduction if cost.
