so i bought a set of wheels and tires off a guy, they were off a 2020 as well, with the stock tires so i dont have to demount my OEM wheels and remount the stock tires every winter etc.
drove about 30 miles and no tire light on dash, stop and run into store and come out and start truck to leave and the light on dash flashes for about a min and the light stays on solid now. Read that you can reset it, but when i press the set button it doesnt change and recognize.
Please tell me i dont have to go to dealer every time i want to swap out and how do i get the light to stay off??

Since you bought a set of factory TPMS sensors with the new wheels, they will have to be reprogrammed into the truck. The button to reset is only used when rotating the existing wheels/TPMS to different locations. What i have read other people have done for a second set of winter tires is they bought aftermarket TPMS sensors that can be cloned to the original sensors so the truck thinks the second set is the original sensors, so it wont require you to have it reprogramed every time you switch them out between the summer and winter set.

Stop by Discount Tire, they will read and program for free. Takes less than 5 minutes.
