You could also do like I did on my traction board mounts and install felt glides near the bottom. 1/4" hole with a nut on both sides to keep them secure. The felt will eventually wear off but it helps keep them from bouncing around as much. Less than $5 for a pack of 4 at home Depot.

You can see them at the bottom of both legs in this photo.

I made that last panel but there's more to do on it. This has been a time consuming project. Hopefully it will pay off in its results. Ported at 32 Hz (hopefully).

The port fires into a wall and exits out a horn shape (eventually) right above the floor underneath the slightly raised rear seat bottom.

Swapped out my cs047 dakars for some el096. Really feels better with the weight. Think I may start looking into raising the front up a bit.

You can use a couple boards, sandwich the aluminum flat bar between the two boards, squeeze it tight in a vice then use either a wood block and a hammer or just a hammer and bend the bar over until you get the desired angle. It might be easier to cut the aluminum to the desired length after it has been bent. Also, you might want to use some MAPP gas and heat it where the bend will be. This will make it much easier to bend and reduce the risk of the aluminum cracking at the bend. Sand, clean, self etching primer, the topcoat color of your choosing and you are good to go.

I clamped it to a 2x8, and pounded it with a mallet. Aluminum is soft, and bends really easily. :muscleflexing:

Plasticoated my wheels. They've taken a fair amount of abuse over the years on trail20200607_132206.jpg 20200607_132157.jpg . Figured I could cover it up for now while I figure out the next step for tires and wheels.

Girlfriend and I are going camping next weekend and we usually sleep in the bed of the trail, figured it was time to do something about the knee killer tailgate ridges.

First step was cutting up a harbor freight foam floor mat and hot gluing it into the indents, then covered it with their solid tool drawer liner. Like $15 in materials and I have 3 of the 4 floor mats leftover to put in front of the tool bench. Quite tickled.

Vinyl wrapped the hood and roof flat black. Also plastidipped the badges.

Grill is next, and some new headlamps, then rear bumper. I read that the black hood adds about 13 hp. Couldn't find any solid data on blacking out roof and badges though...

Installed some @ragofabrication bed stiffeners. Awesome company to deal with! Great product, quick shipping, and free candy! First side was a pain in the ass because I can’t follow directions, but knocked out the 2nd side in 15 min.

Also threw together a cargo shelf... I was just planning on mocking up a 60”x 20” shelf out of some spare wood to see if one of those hitch cargo carriers would fit and decided to just go with it.
