Have to close front doors twice to close. Is this common. What adjusted can be made?

I have to as well. I think for me it’s just a matter of breaking in the door trim, seals or whatever you call it.

After coming from a German SUV and getting used to my wife’s Tahoe, these Tacoma doors are extremely lightweight. I still find myself having to give it a little more effort to shut completely.

All I can think of beyond trying harder is to Make sure all the little holes behind your rear seat are not blocked, in the back of the cab are air relief dampers (vents). If you block enough air to these you won’t be able to relieve the air pressure making the last door harder to close unless like someone else mentioned you leave a window cracked.

It’s not that serious, mine just took a little getting used to when I first got it, don’t even notice it anymore, and like others mention will probably break in after a little time

When I first got my truck the doors were stiff, after a little while they loosened up a bit. I did also add sound deadener to the doors that gave them more mass. They close easy with a solid thud now.

Just don’t repeatedly slam your door like some person here did. It will not end well.

Every toyota i've had over the last 20 years has a pretty airtight cab needing to give the door a harder push than normal. Even after several years my passenger door on the tundra needed some extra beef to fully shut it. The new tacoma i have is the same way.

    Yes.

    Try harder the first time.

It's not the truck. It's the user.

The other option is to have doors easy to close, but then join the thread on the 'wind whistle / Kazoo sound' crowd who get that corrected with, wait for it........ new door seals.

My access cab doors also have a habit of not wanting to close the first time. I just make sure that the map lights are off before I leave the truck.

Interesting, I've always found my doors to be very easy to shut since new. I can literally close mine with a single finger using very little force.

Someone said that if all but one of the doors are closed and you try to close the last door, the air pressure pushes out on the last door making it not close as well.
