how much does a 2in lift help with crossing water?
And what is the deepest youve ever crossed?
Rainy season coming and im expecting some flooding in my area.

We had some crazy floods a couple of years ago and wondering how deep I can safely cross some water if I totally have to?

I've had water up to my headlights, lifted or not it wouldn't of mattered at that point.

2" is 2" when you need it. May not make a difference but I know when I have had water close to the headlight any higher would have been all bad it was just enough. 4 feet is prob a bit excessive and would prob not give that a go.

I have been about mid door deep (had to due to storm flooding) water got in the cab and I ended up having to rip out the interior and replace the fire mat that is under the carpet because it got stinky. I don't suggest going that deep unless you absolutely have to....that being said, the truck can go at least that deep without hydrolocking

For every 1” you lift, you get a perceived 2” more capability. So you should basically be able to ford 6” higher water.

Yeah just the mat under the carpet (i assume it is a fire retardant mat), the carpet actually dried out really well and no issues with it

I think its sound deadener, cause I threw mine out and I've noticed serious road noise ever since.
