So, i noticed some wet spots on my motor/accessories this weekend while i was changing out my upper control arms. i noticed an older, dry dark spot on the side of the block, and some wet spots that seem to be coming from the power steering pump? Odd thing is i dont seem to be low on any fluids. Any ideas?

this one is a little harder to see, the camera kept focusing in on the control arm bolt..you can see the darker spot just under the manifold.

You're right, it does look red. I never noticed that until just now. I'll have to check the PS fluid level again.

After looking at the picture again, I'm wondering now if the dark spot on the block is exhaust blowing out behind the manifold.

It doesn’t take much to make a wet spot. [ insert pervy joke here ] so you won’t necessarily see low fluid levels.

I'll keep an eye on the ps fluid level, it didnt appear to be coming from any one of the hoses, so it might just be the pump that failed after 124K miles.
