How hard do you wheel? You honestly might not really need a locker unless you tackle difficult trails. The auto lsd in your truck right now isnt a locker but its better than older open diffs. It lays down 2 rooster tails when I gun it on dirt so I know it's doing something lol

Replace your tires for some all terrains and go wheeling.

    The Factory 8” E-Locker is not a strong as the 8.4” non/E-locker.
Just saying this to help with your decision.
Why buy someone else’s build. Especially if it’s not exactly what you want.

    Is this a joke?

Keep your truck if you want neat things add them, otherwise just drive it.

An auto is never an investment it is mode of transportation and a hobby at best, the less you can spend on an auto the better off you will be further on down the road.

damn those new tires look good. Keep your truck, color is better & has higher resell value - dealers are desperate in this economy. The oem elocker is overrated - just get an ARB or aftermarket elocker from ECGS

Sometimes they become accidental investments lol. Cherokee XJ and GX470 have been going up in value quite a bit. Shoot a civic si from 2000 just got sold for $50k. Obviously you should never buy a vehicle as investment but some people got really lucky. Who knew a $18k civic would be worth $50k one day??

    Too few to list.
Keep yours. I have an e-locker and have maybe used it less than 5 times as I was slipping on a rock. For the most part, 4hi and 4 low will get you in and out of a majority of places with better tires. If you want to spend the money in an ARB locker, I suggest re-gearing front and rear since the rear will be apart already and if you want to use anything bigger than 265/75/16.

For a lift, anything higher than 2” will need additional parts like upper control arms. Don’t cheap out on the rear and get a full pack and not an AAL. Lift the front with coils and not preload shocks. Bilstein or OME are budget friendly.

It could have had a kilo of coke in the back and I still wouldn’t pay 50 large for a Honda Civic.

    Hmm . . . none as yet, that's why i'm here . . .
No no no. Why are you even thinking about this. Keep what you have. That price is a rip. And looks like they painted the frame to make it look new. Don't just walk away drive away fast in your current Taco . . . your'e welcome.

Don't worry gentleman, I already turned down this deal the morning after my original post, I definitely was running more along the lines of curiosity and I got a lot of questions answered and great ideas out of this post! Thanks for all the help!

I am inclined to agree with you. I have not been happy with them. I could tell how eager they were to pull one over on me given all the stuff they kept trying to offer as I was getting ready to leave like, "free license plate transfer" etc. I could almost see the boss the sales assistant called over for pricing licking his lips over his eagerness to screw over who he assumed to be was a naive young-man. When I told them I was leaving to do more research I could see the despair in their eyes :D The last thing they would want someone to do is actually have knowledge about what they are about to get themselves into.

Those rims are quite pimpin' LOL! Less the rims, that is a nice truck; super clean on the bottom. But for the $, absolutely no way.
